Head Gardeners

At AHPS we have a team of Head Gardeners who support Mr Bicknell our SSO in developing and enhancing our school grounds. 

Our Year 6 children apply to be a Head Gardener after reading the Job Description and applying in writing to Mr Bicknell directly. He reads the applications carefully to see who fully understands the role and who is suitable for the job.

The successful candidates are appointed to lead the development of our school grounds alongside Mr Bicknell. They work with him once a week. As well as looking after the grounds they are growing a range of vegetables that we then hope to use in school.
